Meet the Founders

Mitch and Colette have a combined 40 years of experience working with school age children in public, private, and summer camp settings.

Colette looks forward to bringing her organizational skills to make the business side of Sandlot run smoothly this Summer.

Mitch looks forward to continuing his passion for getting children outside and involved in healthy activities.

They are both excited to see children running around and enjoying the outdoors for Camp Sandlot’s 24th year!

It has been said that “it takes a village to raise a child” and we, at the Sandlot, are taking that rather literally this year.  Our senior staff members each bring a unique skill set which collectively makes our program the most safe, creative, organized, and fun program that it has become.  

We are proud to introduce the 2023 Directors of the Sandlot program.

This will be Coach Molly’s 5th year as a part of the Sandlot family. Family is the key word as Molly is embraced as our “Camp Mom”. In addition to making sure everyone feels welcome at camp, she prides herself in being creative, passionate, and a positive role model for our campers. She is excited to create fun memories, meet new campers and have a great time!

Coach Kyle returns to the Sandlot for his 14th year…7 years a camper and 7 as a coach! Kyle tried to tell us that he was retiring last year to pursue his medical career but he realized he needed one more year to ensure the Sandlot Musical shows could continue their reign of excellence. Kyle looks forward to inspiring the next generation of actors and actresses while having fun in the Sandlot Summer sun!

Last year was my daughter's first time at Sandlot and she was just going into first grade that year so I was probably more nervous than she was. But I am SO happy she went! She loved camp and it brought her out of her shell so much! She was even in the 2 plays they put on each year!  She has grown so much going to camp and has friends of all ages and she loves it!

My daughter Cora has been going to Sandlot's summer camp for eight years. In those 8 years, she has made many friends and kept them over that time. She can’t wait to see them all again this summer!
